Meadow Creek Reservoir
This scenic Colorado reservoir is located in a remote part of the Arapaho National Recreation Area, just outside the western boundary of the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. The size of this reservoir varies in surface acres depending on the current draw down. Being restricted to non-motorized watercraft makes it a popular location for those who prefer fishing, canoeing or kayaking in an undeveloped area.

This high mountain lake contains Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brook trout. Typical successful baits are nightcrawlers and worms, Power bait and Fireballs. Various lures are also successful in the early morning and late afternoon. The shoreline is easily accessible on foot, however, be aware that the south shore area is private land.
There is a picnic area with vault toilet at the lake but no drinking water is available. No formal campground is available at Meadow Creek Reservoir. but there is dispersed open camping along the USFS Road 129 around the reservoir area.
Directions to Meadow Creek Reservoir
Just prior to entering the town of Tabernash Colorado, turn right on County Road 84. Proceed on County Road 84 (USFS Road 129) approxiamately 10 miles to the reservoir. For turn by turn directions from you specific location, click on the red marker in the map and enter your starting location address including City and State.
