Adaptive High Adventure Weekend: Advanced Snowboarding Camp

Seasoned snowboarders won’t want to miss this four-day intensive adventure camp held February 19-22, 2010, which includes exploration of intermediate and advanced terrain at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, and an unforgettable journey into pristine back-country in the nearby Elk Mountains on the snowboarder’s back-country essential, the split-board. Participants will receive a solid introduction to and experience with riding a split-board, increased on-mountain skills and a broad knowledge of back-country safety basics, including decision-making skills and an overview of safety equipment essentials (shovels, beacons, transceivers and probes). Our weekend will culminate in a one-of-a-kind wilderness experience on Snodgrass Mountain, a beautiful back-country setting with spectacular glades and powder stashes galore. Back-country travel and days dependent on weather/snow conditions.
