SolVista Basin Resort
When you think of SolVista Basin, we want you to remember how family friendly, affordable and close by we are. There are two separate mountains which connect at the base, making this a skiing experience everyone can enjoy. The East Mountain features beginner and intermediate skiing, and the West Mountain offers terrain that will appeal to more advanced skiers. In the SolVista Basin all runs lead to a combined location at the base. We invite you to visit the newly completed Base Camp Lodge. There are many things to do here including equipment rental or purchase, lift tickets and ski school options. Families enjoy getting together and watching the skiers, eating a meal in one of the nearby cafes and watching the sun set over the beautiful Fraser Valley. It’s a great place to come and you’re only minutes away from many other activities and towns to visit, including Granby, Fraser, Winter Park and Tabernash Colorado.

The Colorado Rockies is home to the Solvista Ski Resort in Grand County, and opened to the public in 1983. Solvista Basin Ski Resort is centrally located two miles south of Granby, Colorado. It is a family oriented ski resort, with terrain for all levels of ability. Because it caters to the family and the beginner skier, the in-house slogan is, it’s “a ski area for those fueled by hot cocoa, not by adrenaline”.
The snowfall of an average 220 inches per year with 406 skiable acres makes it perfect for “vacationers who are just starting to tackle the art of winter sports. There are no crowds, no big fuss, just a cute little ski resort that will make an affordable visit 100% worth it. The area offers beautiful scenery, good snow conditions and relatively easy terrain.” Lodging accommodations are available close by, some ski-in/ski-out, all within minutes of the mountain including The Inn at Silver Creek, The Mountainside at Silver Creek, The Summit at Silver Creek, and Kicking Horse Lodges.
