Pagosa Hot Springs
The Pagosa hot springs are one of the main attractions in the Pagosa Springs area. Soaking in the mineralized water heals and refreshes! There are three hot springs facilities in the downtown area. All offer hot springs access, lodging and complete day spa services. Choose from the Overlook Mineral Springs Spa, the Spa at Pagosa Springs and the luxurious Springs Spa and Resort.

San Juan Pioneer Museum
Located on the east side of Pagosa Springs, on the corner of 1st and Pagosa St, this museum depicts life in the area from 1890 to the early 1900′s. You’ll enjoy viewing replications of an early Dentist office, Barber shop, schoolroom and others. Plus, take time to watch the Pioneer slideshow and take a look through the historic books and other documents housed here. The museum is open Mid May through Mid September.
Chimney Rock Archaeological Area and National Historic Site
Designated a National Historic Site and Archaeological area in 1970, Chimney Rock exists on 4,100 acres of San Juan National Forest Land and is surrounded by the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. Home to the early Pueblo Indians, the area is actively reseached by the University of Colorado and others. The site is open to visitors between May 15th to September 15th.

Mesa Verde National Park
This National Park is just over 100 miles from Pagosa Springs, but well worth the drive! Don’t miss your opportunity to see the Cliff Palace, Balcony House or Long House ruins. A visit to the Cliff dwellings of the ancient Pueblo Indians is an inspiring journey!

Canyon of the Ancients National Park
This southwestern Colorado National Park contains over 6,000 archaeological sites. This was home to the Pueblo and Anasazi Indian tribes. In some areas there are as many as 100 archaeological sites per mile! From the Great Kiva to the Cliff Dwellings of this park, there is so much to see here. Make sure to stop and visit the Anasazi Heritage Center to learn more about the park and the people that lived here. Be advised that while there are roads within the park, the majority of them are rough and unpaved. “Many of archaeological sites in this “outdoor museum” are not apparent to the untrained eye and precise locations are not publicized. This is a place to explore on your own!”

Wolf Creek Ski Area
Wolf Creek is one of Colorado’s oldest and finest ski resorts. Their trademark is friendly employees and lots of light powder snow. An average of 465 inches of snow each season consistently earns them the “most snow in Colorado” honor. Since their trails are distributed nicely between beginner, intermediate and expert slopes, it’s a great destination for eveyone! Bring the whole family and enjoy the Wolf Creek experience!
