Buena Vista Fishing Derby - Every year CPA sponsors fishing derbies for kids. The Buena Vista Fishing Derby is always the Saturday before Labor Day at the Town Lake. The Colorado Department of Wildlife stocks the lake and volunteers record the catches and serve a picnic lunch afterwards.
