Estes Park Colorado Attractions

Estes Park is located in the Front Range of Colorado near the Rocky Mountain National Park.  A thirty-two mile drive up the Big Thompson Canyon from Loveland brings you to the heart of Estes Park. There are many historic places and fascinating things to see and do in this Colorado town. If you are planning a visit to the Colorado high country and want to enjoy all that Estes Park has to offer, here are some of the attractions you can enjoy on your next trip!

Trail Ridge Road

Old Fall River Road

Opened in 1920, Old Fall River Road earned the distinction of being the first auto route in Rocky Mountain National Park offering access to the park’s high country. In the minds of many park visitors, the relatively subtle old route remains foremost. Unlike Trail Ridge Road, which is well known for being the highest continuous paved road in the nation, the Old Fall River Road is a much more “motor nature trail.” Read more about this Road to Fall River Pass…

The Stanley Hotel

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park has been welcoming guests since 1909. It’s both elegant and an exciting part of Estes Park lore. The Stanley inspired author Stephen King to write the book “The Shining ” and the Hotel is said to be haunted, so the Stanley offers special “Ghost Tours” to those who want to know more. The Hotel is well appointed and equipped for guests, visitors, weddings, parties, and meetings and is one of the most photographed historic buildings in the Estes Park area.
