Crawford State Park

Like many of the 42 Colorado State Parks, Crawford State Park is a great area to get away, rest and relax while surrounded by the beauty of nature in Colorado. The State Park invites anglers, boaters, hikers and water sports enthusiasts to the western slope, for one day or several. Jet skiing, motor boating and water skiing are very popular action-oriented activities at peak times like summer weekends.  The campgrounds are recently refurbished and offer new amenities to the park.  In winter there is Ice Fishing on the lake, Snowshoeing and tubing, and Snowmobiling in the park as well as cross-country skiing. Even winter camping is an option! Come visit soon.

The Grand Mesa is a favorite of many who enjoy the Flat top (Mesa) mountains with it’s amazing variety of wildlife, over 300 high mountain lakes and ponds, outdoor activities year round and stunning views. Sitting in the Delta County area of the Colorado western slope, a Grand Mesa trip includes spectacular features like the 355 foot high Bridal Veil falls; seeing one of the world’s largest flat top mountains; and visiting the Alpine Tunnel, once the highest railroad tunnel in North America. With hiking, hunting and horseback riding, off road adventures, camping, fishing, climbing, scenic drives and winter sports – there’s always something to do on the Grand Mesa.
