Sunset Point Campground is located in Arapaho National Forest on the shore of Lake Granby near Grand Lake, Colorado. It is surrounded by spruce and Lodgepole pine trees and has a wonderful view of the lake. Of the 25 sites in the campground, all are fine for either RV or tenting. There are also 3 double sites for larger parties. The road through the camp is paved, there are 3 water hydrants and 2 restrooms which are handicapped accessible. A boat ramp is also available in the campground to access Lake Granby. The usual season for this campground is Memorial Day through Labor Day depending on the weather.
Activities in the area include fishing for Rainbow, Brown, Mackinaw and Cutthroat trout and Kokanee salmon on Lake Granby, Grand Lake, Willow Creek Reservoir or Shadow Mountain Reservoir, as well as boating and water skiing on these lakes. There is mountain biking and hiking in Indian Peaks Wilderness, and nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. East Shore Trail is part of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail both foot and horseback, AA Barn Loop Trail (foot and horse), Roaring Fork Trail (foot and horse), Monarch Lake Trail (loop – foot and horse). A visit to the town of Grand Lake is a nice day trip, with shopping, horseback riding, mini golf, arcades and more.

| Location: Take I-70 to US 40. Travel north on US 40 to Granby. Turn right on US 34 just north of Granby. Travel approximately five miles to the entrance to the Arapaho National Recreation Area. Turn right on to Forest Road 125 and travel 1.5 miles to the entrance road to the campground. Travel north to the campground. |
