Sawmill Gulch Campground is located in the Arapaho National Forest about 13 miles past Granby, Colorado on Highway 125. It sits on winding Willow Creek and has a wonderful view of the Willow Creek Pass and Parkview Mountain area. Of the six sites in the campground, all are suitable for RV or tent camping. In addition to Lodgepole pine, there are willows which separate the sites. Please note: due to the Beetle kill in the Colorado mountains, many trees have been culled to prevent further damage. The road through the camp is gravel, there is one hand pump water hydrant and one restroom which is not handicapped accessible. The usual season for this campground is Memorial Day to mid-October depending on weather.
Activities in the area include fishing in Willow Creek for brook trout, scenic drives in the area and wildlife watching. There are often hummingbirds which frequent the area, so hummingbird feeders are fun to have. If you enjoy 4-wheel and OHV drives, there are some great roads by Stillwater Pass about 5 miles farther up Hwy 125. The C-Lazy-U Ranch is a guest ranch between Windy Gap and the campground and offers many activities and amenities to their guests, and the Shadow Mountain Ranch is across the highway if horseback riding is something you enjoy.
Additional Services Available:
