St. Louis Creek Campground is located in the Arapaho National Forest about 3 miles west of Fraser. It’s on the banks of the St. Louis Creek and has Lodgepole pine trees all around the campground. The 16 sites are suited to both RV’s and tents and are shady. The road through the camp is dirt, there are 2 water hydrants, and two restrooms – one of which is handicapped accessible. The usual season for this campground is Memorial Day through Labor day depending on the weather.
Activities in the area include trout fishing in St. Louis Creek and Byers Creek, mountain biking and hiking on nearby jeep roads and trails in the Fraser River Trail area. Creekside Trail is for both hiking and biking will take you into the Winter Park/Grand Lake mountain bike network of trails which is over 600 miles worth of trails to enjoy. The Fraser and Winter Park communities have much to offer in the way of family recreation and entertainment. A new recreation center is being constructed in the Fraser valley and will be a huge facility with swimming pool, workout and rec center activity. Horseback riding is also available in the area for trail riding, and Fraser has restaurants, shopping and a movie theater as well.

| Location:Four miles southwest of Fraser on County Road 73 (St. Louis Creek Road) in the Fraser Experimental Forest. In Fraser, CO, take Eisenhower Dr. west 0.2 miles to Norgran Rd. Turn left onto Norgran Rd. and go 0.1 miles to Mill Ave. Turn right onto Mill Ave., which becomes County Rt. 73 in 0.1 miles, and go 2.4 miles to a “Y” intersection (Forest Rt. 1601). Bear left onto Rt. 1601 and go 0.3 miles to campground. |
