Cutthroat Bay Campground is located in the Arapaho National Forest about 10 miles north of Granby off Highway 34 at an elevation of 8,400 ft. This campground has two group sites with their own pavilion, grills, group fire pit, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and tent pads. Each has a water hydrant and restroom which is handicapped accessible. Paved roads run through this campground and reservations are mandatory.

The group campground sites on Lake Granby in the Arapaho National Recreation Area can accommodate up to 50 people each. Activities outside the camp include off-highway trails, mountain biking, hiking in nearby Indian Peaks Wilderness, Never Summer Wilderness area and Rocky Mountain National Park. There are boat docks at nearby Stillwater Campground, and boating and fishing for Brown, Mackinaw and Cutthroat trout and Kokanee salmon in Lake Granby and Shadow Mountain Reservoir, Grand Lake or Willow Creek Reservoir. If you’ve never visited Grand Lake, it’s a fun and charming community with shopping, restaurants and plenty of things to entertain yoer family.

The campground is open Memorial Day to Labor Day with full services. After Labor Day, camping is available on a first come, first serve basis (no reservations) with reduced services while weather permits. Campsites are more open because of tree removal due to the Mountain Pine Beetle infestation.

Directions to Cutthroat Bay Campground

Location: Take I-70 to US 40. Travel north on US 40 to Granby. Turn right on US 34 just north of Granby. Travel approximately 10 miles to the turnoff. Turn right and drive about a quarter mile to the campground. The campground is located on the right side of the road.
