Peaceful Valley Campground is located in the Roosevelt National Forest in Boulder County in a glacial valley near Middle St. Vrain Creek. It’s one mile east of Camp Dick and sits at an elevation of 8,500 ft. There are 17 sites in the Conifer and Aspen wooded campground; 9 are suited to RV and the remaining 8 more suited to tenting. The roads in the campground are paved, there is one water hydrant and 2 restrooms, one of which is handicapped accessible. The usual season for this camp is mid-May through mid-October depending on the weather.
Activities in the area include trout fishing in the Middle St. Vrain river by the camp, hiking or mountain biking on Buchanan Pass, Sourdough Trail, Coney Creek and St. Vrain Mountain trails, Camp Dick has the trailhead on the west end – 1 mile west of Peaceful Valley. The Peak to Peak Scenic Byway is beautiful for a drive, and you are about 24 miles from Estes Park for a nice day trip. Stables are available in Estes Park for horseback riding adventures. The Indian Peaks Wilderness is only 4 miles from the west end of the campground.
Additional Services Available:
Picnic tables, fire rings, grills, water, vault toilets and trash services are provided. There are no electrical hook-ups, dump stations or showers.

| Location: Peaceful Valley Campground is off of Colorado Highway 72 at mile-marker 50, approximately 19 miles north of Nederland. It can also be accessed via Highway 66 west to Lyons, then southwest on Highway 7 for approximately 12 miles to Highway 72, and south on Highway 72 approximately 4 miles. |
