Olive Ridge Campground is located in Roosevelt National Forest near the town of Allenspark. It’s not far from the famous Longs Peak, a Colorado “14er”, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway near Estes Park, Colorado. The 56 sites in Olive Ridge are suitable for all types of camping and there are 2 oversized sites which accommodate 12 people each. The roads are gravel and narrow, the sites heavily wooded, there are eight water hydrants and five restrooms with no handicapped accessibility. The usual season for this campground is mid-May through mid-October.
Activities in the area include a playground for the children in the campground, and an amphitheater for nature talks the whole family can enjoy. Horseback riding is a good way to sight see in the area, and there are nearby stables. Trout fishing, hiking on one of the many trails in the area or a day trip into Rocky Mountain National Park or Estes Park is enjoyable. There are four trailheads within 5 miles of the campground including St. Vrain Mountain, Wild Basin, Longs Peak and Twin Sisters. This campground sits at an elevation of about 8,400 ft. and so proper clothing will keep you warm and comfortable. Please remember you are in bear country, and be extremely cautious when storing food.
Additional Services Available:
Picnic tables, fire rings, grills, water, vault toilets and trash services are provided. There are no electrical hook-ups, dump stations or showers. A playground suitable for small children is located on site.

| Location: Take Highway 7 south from Estes Park approximately ten miles. The campground is located on Colorado Highway 7, between Allenspark and Meeker Park, at mile-marker 14 on the right side of the road. It is approximately six miles north of the intersection of Highways 72 and 7, and approximately 15 miles south of Estes Park, 29 miles north of Nederland, and 20 miles west-northwest of Lyons. |
