Equestrians will enjoy the sites designed especially for them! The Yarrow loop of Jack’s Gulch campground has five sites with pipe corrals at each. There are multiple water hydrants dispersed through the campground and the six vault toilets are handicap accessible. The season for this Colorado campground is late May through early November, weather permitting. NOTE: For those traveling with horses, only noxious weed-free hay is allowed on public lands in Colorado. A list of weed-free hay suppliers is available from the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
Activities in the area include hiking and sightseeing in the nearby wilderness areas: Cache La Poudre Wilderness, Comanche Peak Wilderness, Rawah Wilderness and Neota Wilderness. Wildlife viewing in the area is another activity to enjoy! Other activities include mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding and photography.
