Boyd Lake State Park Campground sites will accommodate large RV'sBoyd Lake State Park Campground features paved pull through sites that are located on a grassy area with scattered trees. All the sites have electrical hookups and are designed to accommodate tents, campers, trailers and motor homes. There are three restrooms with showers in the park and each site has a picnic table and grill.

Boyd Lake State Park Swim BeachThere’s plenty to do during your stay! Boating and other water sports are always a favorite during the Colorado summers. The Boyd Lake swim beach has a pavilion with rinsing showers, restrooms, picnic tables and a playground. Other activities in the park include fishing, hiking, biking and volleyball. Take a stroll or bike ride along the paved and grassy trails next to the waters edge and under the shade of the cottonwood trees. Boyd Lake’s trails join with the city of Loveland’s recreation trail system at the south and north ends of the park, providing even more hiking and riding opportunities! There are more lakes close by to visit including Horseshoe Lake, Lake Loveland and to the north Fossil Creek Reservoir.

Directions to the Boyd Lake State Park Campground

Location: From I-25, take exit 257B and travel West. Continue taking Highway 34 / East Eisenhower Boulevard to Madison Avenue. Go North on Madison Avenue (right turn) until you reach East 37th Street where you will go east (right turn again). Follow E 37th Street for about 1/2 mile, it curves north and is renamed County Road 11-C, Boyd Lake State Park is on the East side of this road.

Additional Information

  • Reservations are recommended for any weekend stays including Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays and stays longer than 2 nights. Some first-come, first-serve sites may be available.
  • There is a 14 day maximum stay allowed per park during any 45 day period and only 6 people are allowed per campsite. Allowable combinations are: One passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer and one tent (if space allows). If space permits, one additional passenger vehicle and/or motorcycle may be parked at a campsite.
  • A vehicle pass is required for all vehicles entering a State Park.  Vehicle fees are separate from camping fees.  If a motorized, towed vehicle is being brought into a park, a pass is required for that vehicle.
  • Pets must be kept on a six foot leash and be under control at all times. Please remember to pick up after your pets, failure to do so may result in a fine.
  • Please review the bulletin board or consult the campground host for specific rules, regulations and restrictions in this campground
  • NOTE: Do not bring firewood from another State, firewood can spread harmful insect pests and diseases. Help protect Colorado’s public lands by acquiring local firewood at or near the campground where you’re staying. Contact the Colorado Department of Agriculture immediately for instructions on how to dispose of any firewood brought in from another state.
