Brought to you by Salida ArtWorks, the Salida Studio Tour on September 9th and 10th gives visitors the chance to tour 22 working studios, ask questions, share the inspiration of individual artists and buy art. The artist’s studios are within a ten mile radius of Salida. Studio Tour maps will be available in downtown galleries starting in mid August through the tour dates. During the event, studios will be open from: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 9 and from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 10, 2011.

Salida ArtWorks in partnership with Arkansas Valley Art Center will present the Tour of art studios in the greater Salida area. ArtWorks and AVAC in Buena Vista Colorado are holding tours alternating years from each community. The tour began in 2009 in Salida and was held in Buena Vista last year. Each tour was met with an enthusiastic response. Town residents drove, walked or biked from studio to studio…regular visitors from the Front Range came to town for a day and other tourists were happily surprised at the unexpected treat.
