The Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center hosts the 14th Annual Tenderfoot Mountain Duathlon and Triathlon on September 3rd. This is an adults’ Triathlon and Duathlon and Triathlon teams are encouraged to enter! The Tenderfoot Mountain Triathlon in Salida Colorado will include a 1000 meter (pool) swim, a 40k bike ride, and a 10k run. The Duathlon consists of the bike and then the run portion of the triathlon course. This is a friendly smaller event geared towards recreational and competitive athletes.

Triathlon awards will be presented to the top three finishers overall and to the top three finishers in each age group. Duathlon awards will be presented to the top three finishers overall and to the top two finishers in each age group. Team awards will be presented to the first place male, female and co-ed teams. The Tenderfoot Mountain Triathlon is open to all ages 15 and up; those 14 and under can check out the Tenderfoot Mountain Kids Triathlon scheduled for Sunday September 4th, 2011.
