December 6 – 12th, 2010 will be the week to kick off the Winter Season in Vail and will feature on mountain events, Vail Village parties and three great concerts! Free Concert Lineup for Vail Snow Daze

Thursday Dec. 9th -

• Be on Golden Peak for the Dummy Demolition Derby beginning at 3:30 p.m.  This event involves teams of real people sending teams of dummies down a fast hill and off a giant kicker to show the best in dummy style, take off and landing, and big air. The crowds will help judge the expertise of the dummies.
• Mix Master Mike of the “Beastie Boys” will kick off the live entertainment by playing in a new venue – come be a part of Rolling Stone Magazine’s Club Vail Street Party. This street party will transform the plaza at Solaris and create an outdoor dance club atmosphere.

Friday Dec. 10th –

• Headliner and Country Music Star Dwight Yoakam will be at the Vail Village for a special appearance concert on Friday. In his 25 year career, Yoakam has sold over 25 million albums and won two Grammy awards. This concert is free to the public and will be held in Ford Park.

Saturday Dec. 11th -

• Platinum-selling rock group “O.A.R.” will be headlining the concert on Saturday in Ford Park. The last time O.A.R. played here was to close the the Vail Village event “Spring Back to Vail” and they completely captured the crowd.  This time they ARE the show on Saturday!

Sunday Dec. 12th –

• To close out the Vail Snow Daze – Sunday you can see Grammy award winning “Weezer” headlining the concert in Ford Park. This popular group has been together for nearly 20 years, and have produced many hit singles as well as eight studio albums.
