2009 Aspen Winternational - Womens FIS World Cup - Photo: Daniel BayerAspen’s passion for World Cup skiing is deeply rooted their community and so it’s only right that the Aspen Winternational tradition continue this year, with the Women’s FIS Alpine World Cup on November 27 & 28, 2010. The fastest women in the world will compete on Aspen Mountain for two days in the disciplines of Slalom and Giant Slalom.

Not all the Winternational excitement will be reserved for the mountain! There will be events taking place in the village and downtown Aspen all weekend long. This is guaranteed to be a weekend of nonstop action and entertainment!

Thursday, November 25

  • 6 pm – 9 pm – Dine Around at Downtown Aspen Participating Restaurants

Friday, November 26

  • 10 am – 4 pm Sponsor Village Open – Gondola Plaza
  • 6 pm – 9 pm Dine Around – Downtown Aspen Participating Restaurants

Saturday, November 27

  • 8 am – 4 pm Free Public Shuttles – Run every :20 minutes from Rubey Park – St. Regis – Venue
  • 9:30 am Venue Open 10 am – 4 pm Sponsor Village Open – Gondola Plaza
  • 10 am RACE START: Women’s Giant Slalom Run 1 – Strawpile
  • 11 am Taste of Winternational featuring complimentary food tastings and beverages from Cloud 9, Sam’s Smokehouse, Bumps and the Lynn Britt Cabin – Finish Area
  • 11:30 am Live Music & Prize Giveaways – Finish Area
  • 1:00 pm RACE START: Women’s Giant Slalom Final – Strawpile, awards ceremony immediately following (media conference :30 minutes post awards)
  • 3:00 pm – 4:00pm U.S. Ski Team Autograph Signing – Gondola Plaza
  • 6 pm – 9 pm Dine Around – Downtown Aspen Participating Restaurants
  • 6:30 pm – 6:45 pm Awards Ceremony for Giant Slalom Winners & Presentation of Bingham Cup – Concert Stage
  • 7 pm – 8:30 pm Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series featuring John Popper Project w/DJ Logic – Upper Gondola Plaza
  • 8:30 pm Fireworks Extravaganza – Little Nell
