A Night of Comedy at the Central City Opera House
September 10, 2010 – the Central City Opera House will host a Night of Comedy with two superstars, Roseanne Barr and Louie Anderson. Make your plans today to be there on Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m. for a Silver Circle Reception meet and greet with Louie. This fundraiser benefits Historic Georgetown, Inc. At 6:00 p.m. is the Louie Anderson performance followed by Roseanne at 8:00 p.m.

For each performance you can choose the following ticket level:
- Silver Circle Reception: $150, includes meet-and-greet with Louie Anderson, wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres in the Opera Gardens, and perfect seats for the performance.
- Premier Balcony and Premier Orchestra: $100
- Rear Balcony: $40

Roseanne Barr was a Denver resident in 1970, became a stand-up comic in the early 1980′s and came to fame using her working class housewife routine. When the character became so popular, in 1988 the television series Roseanne was launched and ran until 1997. Roseanne has received numerous awards, including an Emmy, several People’s Choice Awards, Golden Globes, and an American Comedy Award. Her headline show at the Sahara in Las Vegas drew large audiences and she is known around the world.
Louie Anderson has been a comedian, created the cartoon series Life with Louie, has written three books, and was the host of the hit game show Family Feud, from 1999 to 2002. He has starred in his own comedy specials on Home Box Office and Showtime and played cameo roles in major motion pictures. Beloved by many fans, Louie will share his comedy at the Central City Opera House to benefit Historic Georgetown, Inc. and draw attention to the Performing Arts. Central City Opera House promotes both education and entertainment, believing the arts enrich lives and learning for everyone.
