In this fast paced world we live in, mass produced poly-blend clothing has become the norm. But we tend to forget the indulgent comfort of a handmade garment. This is certainly not the case at the Aardwolf Alpaca farm in Canon City Colorado. July 10, 11 & 17th they will be hosting a trio of Alpaca Felting Workshops. All projects start with a visit to the barn, where you can choose your favorite color right from the shorn raw fiber. They will skirt, card, felt, and finish the project taking the process from fiber to fashion! You take home your finished project.

100% Alpaca Hat Felting Workshop – Saturday, July 10, 2010 – These hats take a bit of elbow grease, but they are heirlooms when completed. You can choose your style, trim how you like, make this hat your own. You will be pleased with the results. Class price $100.00

Wet Felted Alpaca Slippers Workshop- Sunday, July 11, 2010 – These slippers are as fun to make as they are to wear! A form will be cut to the shape of your foot, form the felt around that, and finally finish felting directly to your feet for a perfect fit. Class price $70.00

Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop – Saturday, July 17, 2010 – Creating this scarf you can let your imagination fly. Use fabrics to felt together with Alpaca fiber to create a lacy scarf or a warm woolen scarf. Nuno felting is the art of mixing the Alpaca fiber with other mediums for a beautiful one of a kind scarf. Class price $75.00
