Catch the Tropical Odyssey Before it Ends

The Butterfly Pavilion has been a favorite of many for years. It’s a wonderful place to transport yourself into the tropical jungles and see the plants and insects that make life interesting there. The journey into the Tropical Odyssey exhibit has been going on now for almost 6 months and takes you from the tropical rainforests of South America to find out where the butterflies come from. Some of the most amazing and beautiful creatures you will ever encounter are there to observe and explore.

Have you seen the Blue Morpho, the Owl butterfly, the Longwing and the Malachite butterfly? They are all around you at the Butterfly Pavilion. Do you know how important these creatures are to their ecosystem? Find out about the Earth’s “lungs” – the rainforests. How do they clean the air, absorb greenhouse gases and help support human and animal life? Why should we be concerned over the loss of these precious resources, and is the butterfly in danger too? Would losing the butterflies change the world? Find out answers to these and many more questions. If you’ve never been to the Butterfly Pavilion, and want to see the Tropical Odyssey exhibit, you need to make your plans and go soon! The exhibit will close March 28, 2010.
