Breckenridge Ski Resort opens for the 2009-2010 season today at 9:00! Peak 8 will open up with the Colorado Super Chair, 5 Chair and Rip’s Ride lifts running. With approximately 108 acres being opened up today, you’ll find plenty of space to start tuning up your equipment and yourself!

Currently with an 18 inch base of mostly machine made snow, you’ll find these Peak 8 runs open; Springmeier, Park Lane Park, Trygves, Middle 4 O’Clock, Crescendo and Spruce. The lifts opening up today include; Colorado Super Chair, 5 Chair and Rip’s Ride, Gondola, Trygve’s Carpet and Trygve’s Platter.

The day will start off with a free pancake breakfast on the deck of the Bergenhof at 8:30. Another treat for opening weekend, Free Parking. Today through Sunday the 15th, Breckenridge Resort will be offering free parking! Add to that, the opportunity to win Nuggets or Avalanche tickets is you carpool.

Drive up with 4 or more people in a vehicle during opening weekend and everyone in the vehicle will have the opportunity to be entered for a chance to win club level seats to a Denver Nuggets or Colorado Avalanche game. Check with your parking attendant for more details. Keep in mind also, throughout the season you can receive parking discounts if you carpool. Carpooling with 4 or more, Monday – Thursdays will get you free parking. Friday – Sunday, you’ll receive a $5.00 discount for coming up with 4 of your friends!
